Arts, Entertainment, Media and Entrepreneurship (AEME)
The Arts, Entertainment, Media and Entrepreneurship Affinity Group provides a venue for Hopkins alumni either working within these fields or wanting to know more about them to connect, to find resources and information, to grow professionally, and to inspire. From panel discussions to museum tours, from start-ups to Broadway,  The first AEME Affinity was formed in New York, but now has groups in LA and Baltimore, as well as a very active Facebook, closed group.

The Johns Hopkins Energy Affinity Group is a professional networking group for alumni of all institutions of the university who work in the energy industry. The Affinity works to provide opportunities for alumni in energy to interact in person and virtually and to share information and resources.

The Entrepreneurship Affinity Group provides a venue in which to connect Hopkins entrepreneurs to one other, to resources and information, and to professional and educational programming that helps to fuel innovation, boost creativity and drive success.

Federal Government
The Federal Government Affinity Group was created by alumni working in or for the federal government for the purpose of connecting with, learning from, and advancing their careers through other federally employed Hopkins alumni, students and friends of the university. The group’s aim is to be a community that facilitates the sharing of connections, opportunities, best practices, ideas and resources relevant to working successfully within the federal government sector. The group offers professionally valuable activities and programs, affords its members the strength of the Hopkins Federal Government network, enhances connections to local leaders and experts and ultimately provides a venue for bringing about change in our workplaces, communities and the world. Group activities include regional networking events, lunch-and-learn seminars, one-to-one mentoring and group-wide meetings.

The Hopkins Biotech Network (HBN) Affinity Group aims to enhance and create connections between alumni, current students, and the University to build a robust and vibrant network. Outdoor Explorations
If you are a Hopkins alum and enjoy the outdoors, that is all you need to be a part of this group. If you were active as a student in Outdoors Club or Outdoors Pursuits, ever hung out at the rock climbing wall, or only discovered nature after too many all-nighters in the library, join us. Activities are alumni-driven and open to suggestions - from easy hikes to kayaking, stream clean-ups to camping. If you are interested in being a key alumni volunteer, please contact us. If you are interested in simply participating, keep your eye on upcoming events and join the Facebook group. This Affinity is not restricted to a particular region - if there is a viable idea and an alumni group wants to participate, the Johns Hopkins Alumni Association can help.

Women of Hopkins
Women of Hopkins Business (WOH) provides the women of Hopkins the opportunities necessary to advance their professional and personal development. WIB works to build a comprehensive network of women professionals at various career levels and industries by engaging Hopkins alumni, students, and friends of the university. WIB’s activities are designed to build community, opportunity, resource sharing, and personal advancement. Activities include regional networking events, lunch-and-learn seminars, one-to-one mentoring, group-wide meetings and other activities that support group objectives and member goals.

8:32 Society: Christian Alumni Affinity
The 8:32 Society is a network of Christian alumni who are committed to supporting each other in faith, scholarship, and vocation. We look to engage both timeless human questions and specific contemporary challenges across diverse academic disciplines from a distinctly Christian perspective through intellectually rigorous dialogue. We seek to discover how our unique gifts, in the context of our specific professions, can glorify God and promote the flourishing of human society.

 The name 8:32 Society comes from the Johns Hopkins University motto Veritas vos liberabit, which translates from Latin into English as the truth shall set you free, and comes from the scripture verse John 8:32.
