Important security changes to alumni login process - Spring 2024

Dear Johns Hopkins alumni: 

We wanted to communicate an important change to the login process to sites that our alumni frequently access, including: 
 

  • alumni.jhu.edu: to access alumni email accounts and KnowledgeNET (the online alumni library)
  • events.jhu.edu: to register for alumni events 
  • giving.jhu.edu: to make donations to Johns Hopkins
     

In Spring 2024, the Johns Hopkins’ technology and security teams implemented ways to better safeguard the Johns Hopkins online alumni environment. Those methods include a new login process for the alumni sites mentioned above. 

Between May 13 - May 28, 2024, all alumni who access alumni.jhu.edu, events.jhu.edu, and giving.jhu.edu will need to create a new password to login. Once your new password is created, you will continue to use your JHED ID as your username and that new password to login to all of these sites through 11:59 PM ET on May 28. 
 
On May 29, 2024, you will login to these sites using your alumni email address, YourJHEDID@alumni.jh.edu as your username, and that same password that you created between May 13 - May 28. 

You must create your new password by May 28, 2024 to avoid disruption in accessing your alumni resources. Please reset your password here: alumni.jhu.edu/resetpassword.   

Note: If you are a December 2023 grad and have set your password as part of your 180-day grace period and did so before May 13, you will also need to reset your password by 11:59 PM ET on May 28 to avoid disruption. If you have not activated your alumni email account, please complete the First Time Login by May 28.
