SOLD OUT - Baltimore, MD: Peko Peko - A History of Ramen and Sake Tasting
Sponsored by the JHU Arts, Entertainment, Media, and Entrepreneurship Affinity and Baltimore Young Alumni Community
Join us for an evening where we'll learn about the history of ramen, a Japanese noodle dish, sample some of the delicious dishes PekoPeko has to offer, and and sample sake, Japanese rice wine. "Ramen is more than just a bowl of noodles. It's a centerpiece for the kind of friendships, inside jokes, and late nights you'll remember forever, "says chef and owner, David Forster '14. Voted "Best Ramen" in Baltimore by Baltimore Magazine, PekoPeko was created by former Hopkins' roommates, Forster and Andrew Townson '14. The fast-casual ramen shop features Japanese comfort food made with locally sourced ingredients and an environment that promotes learning, togetherness, and high-quality cuisine and service.
Event registration includes a complimentary drink, shared appetizers, four sake tastings, Japanese flavor profile tastings, a bowl of ramen (vegetarian and vegan options are available), and mochi ice cream for dessert! You'll enjoy these delicacies as Andrew and David share their insights, knowledge, and experiences.
