Introducing the Johns Hopkins University Healthcare Affinity New York with special speaker Scott DeNegre.

The Johns Hopkins University Healthcare  is a set of breakfast networking events aimed to provide professional skill-building and career advancement opportunities for alumni seeking to further their roles in the health care sector. Some of these events will include featured speakers who will share their unique career experiences, discuss how to build valuable skills, and impart valuable professional advice to assist alumni in their growth.

Come and join us for our first event of this series, which will feature Dr. Scott DeNegre, Vice President of Operational Excellence at Hospital for Special Surgery and Hopkins Undergraduate Alumni. Dr. DeNegre will share his career journey, highlighting the specific personal and professional skills that supported his success.The group will discuss the impact of  personal and professional connections on success, and explore the many ways that those new to the healthcare industry can build their professional toolkits.

Dr. Scott DeNegre (JHU '02, LU '05 '11), specializes in healthcare management, administering operational and strategic challenges and  developing innovative solutions to increase efficiency, improve clinical outcomes, and enhance patient experience. In his role as the leader of Operational Excellence at HSS, Scott oversees Transformation & Process Improvement, Perioperative Logistics, and Quality Information Systems and collaborates with other HSS leaders to manage performance improvement across the enterprise.  Prior to joining HSS, Scott was a consultant with The Chartis Group, an advisory services firm that provides management consulting and applied research to leading healthcare organizations. In this role, he provided client support in the areas of enterprise strategic planning, capacity management, merger & acquisition planning, care coordination, cost and clinical performance improvement, and service line strategy. He holds a BS in Mathematical Science from Johns Hopkins University and received his Masters in Management Sciences and PhD  in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Leigh University (2005).
