Hopkins Miami/South Florida: Alumni Wine Tasting

Start Date
End Date

Hopkins Miami/South Florida

California gets most of the press, but Washington is the second largest producer of grapes in the United States and their Columbia and Yakima Valleys as well as Oregon’s Willamette Valley produce fine wines. Alumni and guests will transcend the usual Cabernets, Merlots and Chardonnays and be introduced to 3 reds and 3 whites from the West Coast that will open up wine choices for that next dinner party or social gathering.

Dr. Edward Cohn, a local wine enthusiast, will act as your host and provide commentary that will enhance your appreciation of these wines and help guide you on your next buying trip to Total Wines.

Light snacks will be provided to help you transition between the tastes and flavors of the different wines. Attendees will be able to retain their “keepsake” wine glass and a set of six monogrammed Hopkins wine glasses will be raffled off to one lucky person.

We will accept a limited number of reservations for tables of four for those who wish to sit together. If a reserved table is desired, please send an email with the names of the four persons to Lew.Miller@jhu.edu (Subject: West Coast).
