Vincent Laforet will discuss his transition from a 22 year still photography career into filmmaking and his work directing commercials and short films, such as the short "Reverie" which was viewed by more than 2 million people in the first week of its release.
Laforet will share the stories behind some of his most successful images shot as a staff photographer for The New York Times, where he won Pulitzer Prize for feature photography for his overseas work post 9/11, and his work as a freelancer for National Geographic, Sports Illustrated, Time, Newsweek and Vanity Fair. Vincent will also discuss the changing landscape of photography and film in relation to the ever changing social media market.
