Join the Hopkins in Hollywood conversation with special alumni panelists from both Johns Hopkins University and The Hopkins School in New Haven, CT. Also joining us from Johns Hopkins University's Film and Media Studies Program are Linda DeLibero, Special Advocate for Alumni and Outreach, and Melissa Capello, Academic Program Administrator, along with a group of current undergraduate students. The evening will begin with registration and networking at the beautiful Pacific Design Center followed by a dynamic, moderated discussion and Q & A with alumni working in the industry.

Luke Kelly-Clyne (JHU A&S '10 and Hopkins School '06)

Luke Kelly-Clyne

Luke is the Showrunner and Executive Producer on Pop TV's half-hour comedy series, "Hot Date." He is also Executive Producer of IFC's, "The Middle Passage," and the Creator and Executive Producer of, "I Want My Phone Back," a comedy game show on Facebook Watch. Until assuming his role as Executive Producer and President at Propogate Conent's comedy studio, Big Breakfast, Luke served as a staff Writer/Director/Performer, and Head of Native Video at CollegeHumor, where he ran creative on several of the digital brand's most popular branded and original series. He authors the long-running, weekly Vulture column, "This Week in Web Videos," hosts the HeadGum podcast, "I'm Still Right," and is a guest lecturer in the Film and Media Studies Program at Johns Hopkins University. Luke is responsible for connecting his alma maters for this event.

Laura Gordon (JHU A&S '09)
Laura Gordon

Laura is an agent at ICM Partners, and she specializes in representing writers, directors, and actors in the literary space. Laura was named to Forbes' "30 Under 30" in 2017 and Hollywood Reporter's "35 Under 35" in 2018. Some of her clients include Tig Notaro (One Mississippi), Nisha Ganatra (Late Night, Transparent), Tracy Oliver (Girls Trip, First Wives Club), Sarah-Violet Bliss and Charlie Rogers (Search Party), Liz Sarnoff (Barry, Lost), and Lisa Taddeo (Three Women). Laura also runs the agent trainee program at ICM Parters. In college, Laura worked as a news writer at WJZ-TV and graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 2009.

Don Granger (Hopkins School '81)
Don Granger

Don is President of Feature Film Production at Skydance. He is responsible for overseeing the development and production of the Company's robust feature film slate, including 6 Underground, which premieres on Netflix on December 13th, Top Gun: Maverick, The Old Guard, Ghost Draft (working title), and the upcoming seventh and eighth installments of the critically acclaimed Mission: Impossible series. Don has over 30 years of experience in shepherding tentpole films, serving as producer on past Skydance releases, including Mission: Impossible - Fallout, Annihilation, Terminator: Dark Fate, Gemini Man, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, and Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation.

Prior to joining Skydance, Don served as President of Motion Picture Production at United Artists, where he ran the day-to-day development and production operations for five years. Before that, he oversaw production, development, and operations at C/W Productions as a senior executive, where he helped bring War of the Worlds, Mission: Impossible III, and Elizabethtown to the big screen. He also served as Producer on Ask the Dusk and The Eye and as Executive Producer on Death Race. Prior to C/W, Don served as Executive Vice President of Motion Picture Production at Paramount Pictures, where he supervised such blockbuster franchises as Mission: Impossible, Star Trek, Tomb Raider, and the Jack Ryan films, as well as, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger, Sum of All Fears, Varsity Blues, The Saint, Kiss the Girls, Along Came a Spider, and the Academy-Award winning Saving Private Ryan. Before his time at Paramount, Don served as creative executive and producer at Mutual Film Company, The Weintraub Entertainment Group, and Touchstone Pictures. Don is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Producers Guild. He holds a B.A. from Yale University. 

Kim Parker (JHU A&S '07)
Kim Parker


Kim was born in Seoul, but was adopted and raised in Baltimore, MD. She is an indie film producer based in Los Angeles currently producing the sophomore feature film of Josef Kubota Wladyka (Narcos, Manos Sucias), executive produced by Darren Aronofsky and Protozoa. Kim is an Executive Producer on A24's The Last Black Man in San Francisco (Best Director, Sundance 2019), executive produced by Brad Pitt and Plan B. She produced I Am My Own Mother, one of two American films in Cannes Cinefondation 2018. She also produced Katie Says Goodbye (TIFF 2016), starring Olivia Cooke (Me & Earl & The Dying Girl) and Christopher Abbott (James White). Kim produced an interactive, gaze-controlled virtual reality film, Broken Night, starring Emily Mortimer (Tribeca, Cannes Next 2017). Her first feature as a producer, Those People, won Audience Awards at Outfest and NewFest, and was nominated for Outstanding Film (Ltd. Release) at the 2017 GLAAD Awards. Kim was a 2016 San Francisco Film Society/KRF Producing Fellow and she participated in EPI's Trans Atlantic Partners, Berlinale Talents, and the Sundance Women in Film Financing Intensive. She is a three-time IFP alumna and a member of the Producers Guild of America. She graduated with a MFA in Film from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and she holds a B.A. in Writing Seminars and Film and Media Studies from Johns Hopkins University. 

Nicky Weinstock (Hopkins School '87)
Nicky Weinstock


Nicky is a Partner at Red Hour Films where he oversees all film, television projects, and digital ventures of the expansive creative company along with partner, Ben Stiller. Films produced at Red Hour include, Tropic Thunder, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and Escape at Dannemore. Recent Red Hour credits include the Netflix film, Alex Strangelove, the Emmy-nominated digital series, Burning Love, Why Him?, The Polka King, The Birthday Boys, The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, Big Time in Hollywood, FL, Another Period, the BAFTA-nominated, Submarine, and worldwide box office hits, Blades of Glory, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, and Starsky & Hutch. Upcoming Red Hour Films projects include films, The Package, Plus One, and Friendsgiving, as well as the CW series, In the Dark. Nicky is also President of Invention Films, an independent motion picture and television company producing more than a dozen movies and a diverse array of television projects. Nicky holds a B.A. in Literature and Anthropology from Harvard University.
