Help Make a Difference!
As part of the WIB’s mission of supporting and empowering women the Affinity will again be collecting professional clothing and accessories for the Dress For Success organizations of Baltimore and Washington, DC. Please consider donating new or gently used professional clothing to assist disadvantaged women entering or re-entering the workforce. Please bring clean clothing on hangers if possible. All donations will be collected on site the day of the conference and distributed post event between the Washington, DC and Baltimore organizations.
Another partnership of the JHU WIB Community Outreach has been formed with My Sister's Circle. Through long-term mentoring relationships, My Sister’s Circle exposes at-risk girls to opportunities and experiences that empower them to define success for themselves, make intentional decisions about their future, and become self-sufficient young women. We will hear from the founder and a scholar from this amazing organization.
JHU Women in Business (WIB) Affinity
JHU WIB provides the women of Hopkins the opportunities necessary to advance their professional and personal development. WIB works to build a comprehensive network of women professionals at various career levels and industries by engaging Hopkins alumni, students and friends of the university. WIB’s activities are designed to build community, opportunity, resource sharing and personal advancement. Activities include regional networking events, lunch-and-learn seminars, one-to-one mentoring, group-wide meetings and other activities that support group objectives and member goals.
