Join the Veterans Affinity Network as we take a self-guided tour and experience the history and art of the White House. The White House and its surrounding grounds serve as both the home of the President of the United States and First Family and as a museum of American history. With 132 rooms, 35 bathrooms, and 6 levels in the Residence, the White House is a place where history continues to unfold. After the tour, enjoy lunch and conversation at Old Ebbitt Grill.

  •  Our office  will forward a RSVP link to you after you have registered with JHU. You must complete the RSVP in order to be admitted into the White House. Upon completion of the RSVP, you will be provided with a pass that you must bring with you in order to enter the White House.
  • All guest are required to bring a valid government-issued photo ID. The information on the photo ID must match the information provided on the RSVP.
  • Tours are self-guided. Secret Service Officers are posted throughout the White House to provide historical information.
  • Eat a snack and stay hydrated prior to arrival.
  • Dress for the weather. You will be standing outside before your tour.
  • There are no restrooms available at the White House. Restrooms are located at the Ellipse Visitor Pavilion and the White House Visitor Center.
  • Arrive no later than 10:00 am at the SE entrance of the White house, located on 15th Street. A map will be provided. No late arrivals will be accepted.
  • Tours last approximately 45 minutes.
