Treat yourself to the experience of a lifetime at the American Grown Field to Vase Dinner overlooking the Pacific Ocean at The Flower Fields in Carlsbad, California on April 20th, 2018. Meet flower farmer Mike A. Mellano of Mellano & Company and learn about his family’s flower farming history while enjoying an artisan dinner in the middle of a sea of ranunculus.

You will enjoy a multi-course artisanal meal with stunning, local flowers designed by a renowned American floral designer, while learning about the value of buying and supporting Certified American Grown Flowers. The farm, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, is home to the colorful and beautiful Tecolote® Giant Ranunculus, also known as the Persian buttercup or Ranunculus asiaticus, which is native to the Asia Minor and is a member of the Buttercup family.

The Flower Fields in Carlsbad, north of San Diego, is owned by the Ecke family, who are known throughout the United States for their contributions to the floriculture industry and the commercial cultivation of the poinsettia. The Flower Fields cover 50 acres of hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean and is planted, farmed, and harvested by Mellano & Company.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

There are ID requirements as we will be serving wine and beer. If guests are under age 21, they will not be served any alcohol.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Bring your camera or camera phone because you will want to take lots of pictures. Bring a sweater or jacket, as the temperature may go down after the sunsets. Bring comfortable walking shoes for touring the flower farm or greenhouse. Wine and alcoholic beverages will be served and included as part of your evening so we ask that you not bring any wine or alcohol of your own.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You can if you like, but we will have a record of your registration on hand as well.
