She wanted to become a doctor. Now she's the editor-in-chief of Lucky magazine. As we noted in the Winter 2012 issue of Johns Hopkins Magazine, Eva Chen—a 2001 Hopkins grad with a talent for writing, an eye for fashion, and a massive social media following—is definitely a woman worth watching. It seems Business Insider agrees; in fact, they have named Chen one of their "8 Women to Watch in 2014."

She's joined on the list by actress and writer Rashida Jones, Skillcrush co-founder and CEO Adda Birnir, Texas Senator Wendy Davis, and former first daughter turned possible political candidate Chelsea Clinton.

Chen has worked in magazines (Elle, Teen Vogue) in New York since she was in her early 20s, and last summer was named editor-in-chief of Lucky, making Chen (then 33) one of the youngest people ever to take the helm of a national magazine. "I consume media in a lot of different ways," Chen told The New York Times for a profile published in August. "Nothing will replicate the feeling of ripping out something from a magazine."
