The Summer Finance Intern Boot Camp
The Summer Finance Intern Boot Camp was started four years ago by two JHU alumni and members of the JHU Finance Affinity Committee- Max Islinger, A&S 2011 and Stephen Schatzman, A&S 2011. The Boot Camp offers a unique opportunity for current JHU students who are interning at finance companies in New York to learn from their peers about the real “nitty-gritty” of the industry; what to do and, perhaps more importantly, what NOT to do to maximize the potential of their internships.
The Boot Camp takes place on a Saturday in June where Max, Steve and about 25 to 30 students have a seat at the table to have an open and honest discussion about the rewards, intensity and pitfalls of this fast-paced industry. The meeting is followed by a reception with the students and other JHU NYC alumni for a rewarding networking opportunity for both parties!
Max and Steve have created a remarkable way to give back to the JHU community and look forward to hosting this beneficial workshop for many years to come.
