FAQ's

Q: What is Alumni Weekend?

A: Alumni Weekend is an annually hosted weekend of events for alumni, family, and friends to return to the Homewood Campus and reunite with classmates. There are about 100 events held during the weekend. This year, we are celebrating reunion classes ending in 2’s and 7’s. We’re also celebrating Reunion Redos for the classes ending in 0’s, 1’s, 5’s, 6’s, and Young Alumni since they were unable to celebrate their reunions in person. But, everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the fun!

Q: When is Alumni Weekend?

Alumni Weekend will be held in-person on the Homewood campus March 25 -27, 2022. This year, Alumni Weekend is a little bit earlier than normal as the home lacrosse games in April conflict with Passover and Easter. The week also coincides with Spring Break, but there will still be plenty of student participation! We’re so excited to welcome you back on campus for the first time in 3-years!

Q: What measures are you taking to keep us safe during the weekend?

All events will follow all state, local, and JHU guidelines. Most events will be held outside under tents with heaters and flooring.

Proof of full vaccination OR daily on-site rapid testing for alumni and guests 5 and up who are not fully vaccinated or are unable to produce a vaccination card is required.

To be considered fully vaccinated you must meet the below requirements:

  • At least 2 weeks have passed after your second dose in a two-dose vaccination series, such as Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, OR 2 weeks have passed after  your single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson/Jansen.
  • If more than 6 months have passed since the second dose of a two-dose series OR more than 2 months have passed since the single-dose vaccine, you must have received a booster shot.

Masks are required indoors at all times. N95, KN95, and double masking with a surgical and cloth masks are accepted. Also, to align with social distancing requirements, some events will have limited attendance capacities.

Q: How do I show proof of full vaccination?

Upon arrival, all attendees with proof of full vaccination must proceed to the Documentation Station located next to the Welcome Tent on Decker Quad.
Valid forms of documentation include:

  • Your state’s verification app showing proof of vaccination
  • An original CDC Vaccination Card
  • A digital photograph or photo copy of CDC Vaccination Card (both sides)
  • Students, Faculty and Staff can check in with their J-Card

Guests will receive a wristband that must be worn at all times while on campus. Guests who show proof of vaccination only need to check in one time during the weekend.

Q: I am not fully vaccinated or do not have a vaccination card, what do I do?

If you do not have proof of vaccination, are not fully vaccinated, or have children under the age of 5:

  • Proceed to Shriver Hall to perform a rapid test every day that your arrive on campus
  • You must test daily
    • Attendees with negative tests are issued a daily wristband
    • Attendees who test positive will be asked to leave campus immediately

Please make sure the card does not expire prior to the date of the Alumni Weekend event. If you pay with a prepaid gift card, hold on to the card in case the card number needs to be referenced in the future.
