Published four times a year, Johns Hopkins Magazine was created in 1950 to give readers intellectual nourishment, and over the years has featured thought-provoking and sometimes controversial articles on topics ranging from particle physics to student unrest. The magazine is sent free of charge to all alumni with domestic mailing addresses.

Handshake is a powerful career services platform that connects job posters and job seekers at all career stages. Offered across all nine academic divisions of Johns Hopkins, Handshake is a one-stop-shop career tool, allowing job seekers to create an online profile and access openings posted by approved employers—a group that numbers 50,000 across all industries—and sorted for their particular interests and experience.

For job seekers looking for that first position, a career detour, or the perfect fit after completing an advanced degree, Handshake is the place.

For job posters, Handshake allows alumni employers to recruit students and fellow alumni for positions within their own companies.

If you graduated more than 180 days ago, access to student library resources ended once your JHED deactivated. 

The Alumni Association, through the Sheridan Libraries, offers Johns Hopkins alumni exclusive, complimentary access to Hopkins KnowledgeNET™, the online library that gives access to thousands of academic journals, articles and reference materials via licensed databases, as well as links to additional collections of online resources, digital libraries, and other Johns Hopkins publications.

With nearly three million books across four different campuses, the Johns Hopkins libraries and staff are poised to help you in your research or reading journey.  Johns Hopkins alumni can access various parts of the Johns Hopkins libraries. Virtual live lectures and mini-courses showcase the incredible work by Johns Hopkins faculty.

Odyssey offers a wide selection of non-credit, personal enrichment courses and workshops taught by Johns Hopkins alumni, faculty, and global community experts. Visit odyssey.jhu.edu to learn about registration, tuition remission, policies, and accessibility. Or, learn how to submit a proposal to share your passion with fellow lifelong learners.

Read and discuss various book genres with Hopkins community members. Participation is free - purchase the latest publication and join us.

Travel to exceptional destinations, guided by faculty experts and local field guides, with fellow alumni and friends of Johns Hopkins—like-minded individuals who want adventure, education, and discussion. 

Take advantage of an alumni email account once your jhu.edu or jhmi.edu student account deactivates after graduation. This account includes full email capabilities, including a new @alumni.jh.edu address and fully functional inbox. 

Recent grads have 180 days to access their transcripts using SIS. After 180 days, you can request your official transcript through our third party partner, the National Student Clearinghouse. You can request electronic copies or hard copies of your diploma by creating an account through myhub.org.  For more information, visit the University Registrar's website.
