2025 Awards: Celebrating Excellence, Even When the Lights Go Out
On October 17, 2025, the Johns Hopkins Alumni Association honored 52 alumni, faculty, and friends at the 2025 Alumni Awards Celebration, recognizing their outstanding contributions across six award categories. More than 200 guests gathered at the M&T Bank Exchange in Baltimore for an inspiring evening featuring stories of impact from leaders spanning education, the arts, business, public service, and beyond.
A surprise power outage just as dinner began didn’t dampen the enthusiasm. The Johns Hopkins Alumni Relations team quickly regrouped and reimagined the celebration in the warmly-lit lobby, the only space with electricity. The impromptu setting added an intimate, memorable touch to an already remarkable night of connection and celebration.
