Read about the experiences Jennifer had while attending Johns Hopkins University.

Favorite classes and why
Favorite Class was Global Public Health Since World War II - it was just really interesting. I had a great TA and Professor Galambos is a really wonderful lecturer.

Pre-professional Advice
Older students are a good resource. I used linked in and scheduled tons of networking emails that way. That was the most helpful thing I did.

Good places to study on/off campus
In my apartment/ dorm room or on M level early in the Morning before it got crowded

Professors and TAs
Sit in the front of the class room - they notice you and you feel more engaged with the class. Talk to them, introduce yourself, you don't have to have anything to say except "I'm jen webber and I just wanted to introduce myself"

Textbooks
I bought mine at Barnes and Noble

Favorite Internship
I went and lived in Ecuador for a summer - found it because a teacher circulated the opportunity

Best Dorm
I loved living in the AMR's - so fun and college. Worth doing for the year. After I moved off campus I lived in the Charles. It was really nice, closely located to campus, but the management peole were a pain.

Bring this, not that to campus
Most useful thing I brought was a good tote bag and things to decorate my room with. It isn't a temporary space and I found that it made it feel more my own. Oh and a robe to walk to the shower in. (first day of freshman year I got locked out of my room in a towel - get a robe)

Roomates
Play games - honestly it sounds lame, but play cherades or something silly. It breaks the ice and is actually really fun. Go to meals together.

On Campus Dining
I loved going to get coffee between classes at Levering - specially in the winter when the fires are going.

Best DIY Dorm Food
Mac and Cheese

Best Tradition
Go to football games and stuff like that in the fall - i found that connecting to sports teams made me feel more apart of campus. The lighting of the quad is kind of anticlimatic, but it is fun and quickly becoming a tradition.

Know the Lingo
Careful on the marble steps - last thing you want to do is fall the first day of school!

Stay Informed
Talk to people. Look at the napkin holders at FFC.

Best On Campus Resource
Older students.

Experience Baltimore
Go to hamden - go out in Federal Hill. Rent a zip car and drive out to Gun Powder state park and explore. Go to the Charles Theater and Iggies Pizza!
