Richard L. Kagan is the Arthur O. Lovejoy Professor of the Department of History. He specializes in European early modern history with particular interest in Spain. He will be accompanied by his wife, Dr. Marianna S. Simpson, former chief curator of Walters Art Museum in Baltimore and a specialist in the arts of Islam.
