Daniel Eiras, MD, MPH graduated with a BS in Biology from Duke University in 2002. After working in an immunology laboratory at the National Institutes of Health, he attended the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, where he graduated with an MPH in Epidemiology in 2005. Subsequently he received his Medical Degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 2009, and continued his medical training in Internal Medicine at the NYU School of Medicine, followed by specialty training in Infectious Diseases at the Weill Cornell Medical College and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

 

Dr. Eiras is currently a faculty member in the NYU School of Medicine Division of Infectious Diseases and Immunology, and he also serves as an Associate Hospital Epidemiologist for the NYU Langone Medical Center. His primary responsibilities involve the surveillance and control of emerging and highly pathogenic infections, as well as monitoring of medical units and ambulatory sites throughout the NYU Langone Health System.
