Sent on behalf of Rodeo Rick
It seems like only yesterday, that Chuck and I went to the Rathskellar, tuned up our guitars, walked up to the microphones, and sang all night long – for you. It was the one of the greatest joys of my life.
We started out as Chuck and Steve, or Steve and Chuck. But soon we became Rodeo Rick.
Did I ever tell you why we chose that name? Well, we all brought our own kind of music to the band. And for me? I was brought up on country. So, when we played the Great Hall, we would play a few long sets of rock and roll, while you danced and drank, and had fun. Then, very late at night, we'd suddenly switch to pure country music, and the roof blew right off the Great Hall every time.
Those were some of the happiest days of my life. When we were all young and beautiful. And every one of those days, was with you. My friends. My inspiration. My muses. The Class of 1976. I love you all. And I really want to see you again.
That can happen, soon. I hope to see you at the reunion, in April. Let's get together and feel that buzz again – the one we had when we were all together, working hard, playing hard, and lifting each other up, towards this beautiful promise of the future.
Let's be barefoot on the quad again. Let's whisper under the dome of the Hutzler reading room. And for just one weekend, let's be wild and free, like we were at Hopkins. And most of all, let's open our hearts one more timeā¦and sing.
Together.
Sincerely,
F. Charles "Chuck" Brunicardi
