*Registration Closed* Hopkins Twin Cities: La Rondine with the Minnesota Opera

Start Date
End Date

Hopkins Twin Cities

Join fellow Hopkins alumni and friends for an evening at the opera! From the composer of Madame Butterfly and
La Bohème, this rarely performed gem tells the story of an unlikely relationship between Magda, a high-society woman and a naïve, handsome poet. But the fate of their courtship is uncertain as Magda is torn between the life she wants and the life she knows. Puccini's achingly beautiful score charmingly conveys the romantic bliss and irrational desires of unexpected lovers. Wistful and nostalgic, La Rondine revels in the gaiety of Paris, the stinging sorrow of regret, and the sensual richness of love. Which life would you choose?

Before the performance, beginning at 6:30pm there will be an Opera Insights lecture open to all general attendees in the Target Atrium at the Ordway.

After the show, the Hopkins Twin Cities alumni chapter has coordinated a private backstage tour for our group which will take about 10-15 minutes. Details regarding the meeting location for this will be shared with the final registered group.

*Seating will be in the Orchestra section on the Main Floor in Price Zone B*
