Welcome remarks by Johns Hopkins SAIS Dean Vali Nasr will be followed by a panel discussion on “Japan in a Changing World,” featuring Kent Calder, director of Asia programs and the Edwin O. Reischauer Center for East Asian Studies; John Lipsky, Peter G. Peterson Distinguished Scholar at the Henry A. Kissinger Center for Global Affairs; Francis Gavin, Giovanni Agnelli Distinguished Professor and inaugural director of the Henry A. Kissinger Center for Global Affairs; Hiroshi Nakaso, former deputy governor and deputy chairman at Bank of Japan; and Izumi Devalier SAIS’11, head of Japan economics at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
