Johns Hopkins in Action: OC Second Harvest Food Bank

Start Date
End Date

Hopkins Orange County

In the spirit of Johns Hopkins in Action day of service, join your fellow OC alumni on Saturday, May 11 to support Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. Second Harvest provides food, education, and advocacy to hungry people throughout OC, and on May 11 will partner with the National Association of Letter Carriers' Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive. It's the largest, single-day food drive in the nation, and an easy way to make a difference in our community.

On May 11, USPS drivers will pick-up bags of donated items along their routes, and at the end of the day, will need volunteers to transfer donations from post offices to Second Harvest trucks. Second Harvest will assign volunteers, ages 14 and over, to post offices throughout Orange County between 2:30pm and 6:30pm. Join fellow OC alums that afternoon to roll up your sleeves and help create a future where no one goes hungry.
