The Scripps Institute of Oceanography is one of the oldest and most important centers in the world for ocean research. JHU alum and retired Scripps employee Kirk Gardner, A&S ’65, will give alumni and friends a behind-the-scenes tour, including the Scripps Pier, with a focus on the Institute’s history and the role Scripps played in the discovery and understanding of global climate change.
