  • Join Dean Vali Nasr and fellow alumni in celebration of Johns Hopkins SAIS and its 75th Anniversary with a special evening program featuring Andrew Mertha, Director of the China Studies Program, David Bulman, Assistant Professor of International Affairs and China Studies, Director of the Pacific Community Initiative, and Thomas Rid, Professor of Strategic Studies, who will engage the audience in a panel discussion on “The US and China at a Turning Point: Trade, Tech, and the Trump Administration.”

    This signature gathering takes place at Hotel Nikko SF, 222 Mason Street. Cost is $15. Sibyl Chen B’03, ’04, Johns Hopkins SAIS SF/Bay Area Club Leader and 75th Anniversary Advisor, will be there to greet you.

  • Meet up with fellow alumni and Mara Karlin,’05, Ph.D.’12, Director of the Strategic Studies Program and Associate Professor of the Practice of Strategic Studies, who will lead a discussion on “The US Military and the Middle East: Shifting Priorities,” at MassChallenge Israel @Beit Alliance (across from Kiach 5).
