  • Amici di Bologna 2018 returns to New York City on October 6th! Johns Hopkins University SAIS alumni and friends are invited to join Amici di Bologna in New York City for the 11th Annual Symposium and Celebration. The event returns for the third time to the UN Delegates Dining Room, 1 United Nations Plaza, boasting one of the largest outdoor patios in Manhattan and breathtaking views of the East River. The event features our traditional academic symposium with distinguished Johns Hopkins SAIS faculty, policy practitioners, and representatives from the private sector, a networking reception on the terrace, a gourmet 3-course plated dinner with open seating and an after-party at a NYC venue. The 11th edition of Amici di Bologna is the first of many signature events in a year of particularly special alumni engagement as JHU SAIS celebrates its 75th anniversary.

  • Join fellow JHU alumni and friends to celebrate the history of wine in Virginia with exclusive evening tours of the Mansion and cellar, appearances by George and Martha Washington, and a live blues band. Bring a blanket or chair, relax on the east lawn overlooking the scenic Potomac River, and sample wines made in Virginia.

During tours of the Mansion, visit the cellar where Washington stored his wine and learn about the successes and failures of our Founding Father’s endeavors with wine.

Outside food and beverages are not allowed. A variety of hot and cold food and desserts including baguettes, gourmet sandwiches, and specialty sweets will be available on site for purchase from the Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant.
