 In this session, each alumni will have the opportunity to briefly answer three questions in an innovative format designed to facilitate networking in a webinar setting.  There will also be an interactive discussion following a brief overview about the goals of the Networking Webinars and alums are encouraged to share their views and interests.

Our Presenter | Hiroshi Baensch (Engineering '89)

Hiroshi Baensch will talk about his career path in benefit consulting, his current work with retirement plan sponsors, and provide his perspective on key issues and emerging challenges with the US retirement system.

Hiroshi Baensch is a senior partner in Mercer’s Wealth business based in the New York office.  With over 25 years of consulting experience, he currently serves as the lead consultant and relationship manager for several of the firm’s global clients.  Hiroshi received a BA in Economics and Mathematical Sciences from The Johns Hopkins University.  He is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary, a Fellow in the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.  He has also attained Black Belt status in Six Sigma, a process improvement methodology and quality framework.  Hiroshi completed Wharton’s Executive Development Program, and also received a Certificate of Professional Development and the Aresty Scholar designation for successfully completing a customized specialty track at The Wharton School Aresty Institute of Executive Education, with a focus on leadership, strategy, management, and investment topics. During 2016, Hiroshi completed Leading Professional Services Firms, an Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School.
