And the Emmy goes to... Jeff Blitz, A&S '90, '91 (MA)

Jeffrey Blitz, a graduate of the Johns Hopkins Writing Seminars now writing and directing for film and television, won the 2008-2009 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for an episode of the hit sitcom "The Office."

Blitz, who wrote and directed the films "Spellbound" and "Rocket Science," was honored by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for the hour-long episode "Stress Relief," which aired after the 2009 Super Bowl. Clips can be viewed on the episode page on NBC's Web site.
