Posted: March 21, 2012

This past fall, Nolan’s on 33rd – the Charles Commons dining hall, also known as the “campus living room” – celebrated its fifth anniversary, and David Nolan, A&S ’71, recipient of a 2009 Heritage Award, recently sat down with his children to discuss his involvement in improving Johns Hopkins University’s student life.

Why a Dining Hall

David Nolan '71 gives a humorous explanation to his children, Justin Nolan '04, Adrienne Nolan '07, and Spencer Nolan '12, on why he chose to support a new dining hall -- Nolan's on 33rd -- at Johns Hopkins University, to improve the undergraduate student experience.

On Winning the Heritage Award

Justin Nolan '04, Adrienne Nolan '07, and Spencer Nolan '12 discuss how the recent bestowing of the Heritage Award to their father, David Nolan '71, is well deserved, given his continued commitment to improve his alma mater, Johns Hopkins University.
