Why Give? 
A gift to Johns Hopkins is an investment in a better future, because what Johns Hopkins achieves it gives to the world.

Johns Hopkins' revenues – which come mainly from tuition, sponsored research, and clinical fees – do not cover the full cost of providing the exceptional education, discovery, and health care for which the Johns Hopkins University and the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System are internationally known.

Annual gifts and major gifts help defray the costs of

- Educating leaders in virtually every field of human endeavor

- Saving lives and protecting health

- Advancing the frontiers of knowledge

- Improving our quality of life

- Making our world a safer and better place

Donors who make major gifts (generally $50,000 and above) often choose to create lasting legacies by establishing or contributing to an endowed fund. Endowments are permanent assets that generate income to support a particular program or area specified by the donor. More...

Naming Opportunities
Donors who establish endowed funds or make major gifts for buildings, research or program funds, or other ongoing projects may choose to have their name associated with the fund or the area. Or they may wish to honor or memorialize another person.
