Hosted by Arts, Entertainment, Media and Entrepreneurship: NY

Enjoy a change of scene after work as we tour the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD), a museum that champions contemporary makers across creative fields, presenting artists, designers, and artisans who apply the highest level of ingenuity and skill to their work. Since the Museum’s founding in 1956 by philanthropist and visionary Aileen Osborn Webb, MAD has celebrated all facets of making and the creative processes by which materials are transformed, from traditional techniques to cutting-edge technologies. Featured exhibits include the recently opened NYC Makers exhibit and Re: Collection.

There are many options to explore - hop on their docent-led tour, use their free audio guides, view a cinema screening or Special Effects Encounter program or check out their open studios - click here for complete details.

After our tour, we will walk to the nearby Coliseum Bar & Restaurant for Happy Hour. Did you know this is one of the oldest bars on the Westside?  It has been traced back as far as 1949 and has transformed itself throughout the years from a Gin Mill depicted in the book, "The Westies" by T.J. English to its now warm atmosphere, friendly service with a strong emphasis on good homemade food. Our group will be able to network, discuss the tour, or simply relax, munch and mingle in the cozy second floor party room. The first round of appetizers and drinks are on us!
