Enter JHU Press author Holly Dugan. A professor of English, Dr. Dugan sniffs out the descriptions of scent wherever they’re to be found—from old medical texts to Shakespeare to the records of Henry VIII’s gifts to his mistresses. Join her as she weaves a fascinating account of scent, our obsession with it, and its role in art and history. A food and drink pre-reception is included.
