Alumni Council  Committees
|
The Alumni Council's work is accomplished by 11 standing committees and ad hoc committees appointed as necessary. The committees are comprised of members of the Executive Committee and the Alumni Council at large.

Steering Committee
Made up of the officers of the Alumni Association, this committee's responsibilities include overseeing the budget, maintaining the bylaws, organizing the annual meetings and supervising development and fundraising.

Awards
Recommends to the Executive Committee candidates for Alumni Association awards and evaluates the process for determining award recipients.
|
Chapter Support
Oversees the development of a true national Alumni Association infrastructure of active chapters and develops strategies for communication between the Alumni Council and chapter leadership. Also works closely with Membership and/or Alumni Affairs on selected projects.

Community Services Grant
Provides funding to students participating in volunteer community service initiatives of their own design, and evaluates the application and funding process.

Marketing/Communications
Oversees the marketing and promotional strategies of the Alumni Association. Develops and executes market research, oversees the design and implementation of publications and written materials for the Alumni Association and integrates the use of the Internet and the webpage in the overall communication strategy.

Membership Development/Affinity Programs
Oversees and coordinates the Alumni Association's annual membership development efforts and makes recommendations for member benefits and general affinity programs.

Networking/Career Services
Develops programs to facilitate alumni-to-alumni and alumni-to-student networking. Also oversees the alumni career network.
|
Nominations
Identifies candidates for appointment to the Alumni Council, the Executive Committee, officers and Alumni Trustee positions.
|
Policy and Long Range Planning
Develops overall vision and strategic planning for the growth and future of the Alumni Association. The committee will remain dormant until activated by the President.

Student Programs
Reviews all programs involving alumni-student interaction and develops new initiatives to help students in their transition to active alumni.
|
Student Services Grant
Reviews applications for funding for student groups planning on-campus activities, events, and programs. Recommends funding amounts to the Executive Committee.
