New York Chapter
You can't go far in New York without bumping into a fellow Johns Hopkins alum. The New York Metro Chapter includes nearly 7,000 alumni residing in the greater New York area, which includes Long Island, northern New Jersey, Westchester, and Fairfield, Connecticut. We sponsor educational, cultural, social events, and community service projects that appeal to our diverse constituency. While these events often take place in Manhattan, we plan events in the suburban areas as often as possible. Our recent graduates are especially active and sponsor happy hours, wine and beer tastings, and sports activities. Chapter activities are advertised in a newsletter/calendar, which is mailed three times per year, and via e-mail. The Executive Committee, led by chapter president Matt Rupcich, consists of approximately 30 alumni volunteers who make up the governing body of the chapter.
