NEW! JHU Bookcenter Discount
When you pay your alumni dues, you receive 10% off purchases at the Johns Hopkins Bookcenter on all orders—online, phone and in person. (This excludes text books and special order items, such as personalized Johns Hopkins chairs and mirrors.)
Online orders
After you have placed your online order at the online book store, either send an e-mail to
johns-hopkins@bkstore.com or call 877-JHU-BOOK and indicate that you are a dues paying alum and would like the 10% discount. Include your alumni ID number if you have it. (This can be found on your Alumni Association membership card or on the address label on mail from JHU.) If you're unsure of your number, call the Alumni Office at 800-JHU-JHU1.
Phone orders
Call the bookstore toll-free at 877-JHU-BOOK. Indicate that you're a dues-paying alum and provide your alumni ID number.
In-store purchases
Show your Alumni Association membership card at the time of purchase. If you don't have your card, the bookstore will check your dues payer status with the Alumni Office.
About the discount
The 10% alumni discount is available only at the Johns Hopkins Barnes and Noble Bookcenter.
It is not honored at other Barnes and Noble bookstores.
If you already have a Barnes and Noble Reader's Advantage Discount Card, it will be honored at the Johns Hopkins Bookcenter (not on text books). Only one discount applies—the alumni discount cannot be combined with the Reader's Advantage discount.
